Such discs must be written in the so-called "Mode 1", which is compatible with both the ISO 9660 and UDF 1.02 filesystems, and therefore limits the amount of data that can be stored on an 80-minute CD to 700 MiB.
The ISO 9660 standard specifies a stable room temperature of 18 - 23 °C with relative humidity of 30% to 50%.
However, these disks often use a file system based on ISO 9660 that permits additional files, and even revised versions of a file by the same name, to be recorded in a different region of the disk.
