The original three judges for the series have been Yang Hyun-suk, founder of YG Entertainment and former member of the popular South Korean act Seo Taiji & Boys, Park Jin-young, singer/song-writer and founder of JYP Entertainment, and Korean pop icon BoA, from SM Entertainment.

Park Jin-young represents JYP, who is the founder and Executive producer of JYP Entertainment, as well as songwriter and a singer himself.
Yoon then became a trainee of JYP Entertainment and was featured in the Mnet documentary Hot Blooded Men, a reality program that shows the preparation for their debut, with 2AM and 2PM, but he was eliminated along the course of the show.
He founded JYP Entertainment in 1997, composing and producing several singles and albums for various singers in South Korea including Rain, g.o.d., Park Ji-yoon, Byul, Wonder Girls, 2AM, 2PM, miss A, JJ Project,15&
Sun was one of the longest serving trainees at JYP Entertainment, along with Jo Kwon of 2AM and Min of miss A.
