In 2011, Zuckerman created the American adaptation of the Australian television series of the same name, entitled Wilfred, for the cable network FX, starring Elijah Wood and Jason Gann.
Faced with redeveloping the show for an American market, Gann teamed with Family Guy executive producer David Zuckerman.

The series sees Jason Gann reprising his role of Mark Wary from the The Wedge, a professional Sports star, that is a parody of controversial real-life sport stars Shane Warne and Wayne Carey.
