4 unusual facts about Jocko Homo

Hardcore Devo: Volume One

Some tracks are earlier versions of some of Devo's best known tracks that would later be re-recorded and used on subsequent Devo records (e.g. "Jocko Homo," "Mongoloid"), but a majority of the tracks were never re-used and remained unreleased until the Hardcore Devo compilations.

Jocko Homo

There, he meets with General Boy, who is played by Mark Mothersbaugh's father (Robert Mothersbaugh. Sr.), and hands him papers.

US band Thanatos included a very tongue-in-cheek cover of this song as a hidden track on the album "This Endless Night Inside".

These include "We Accept You / We Reject You / One of us! One of us!" (a reference to Tod Browning's Freaks) and "I've got a rhyme that comes in a riddle / O-Hi-O! / What's round on the ends and high in the middle? / O-Hi-O!"

Oh, No! It's Devo

In the second half of the show, the 3-D effects were ineffective and the band attacked the company providing the video twice, once during "Jocko Homo," with a series of cheap 3-D tricks (mostly Snake nut cans) by Mothersbaugh, and once in a rant during "Beautiful World," delivered by Booji Boy.
