Joel Tyler Headley (December 30, 1813 - d. December 30, 1897) was an American clergyman, historian, Author, newspaper editor and politician who served as Secretary of State of New York.

Headley got his start in 1930, as an apprentice to popular jeweler Paul Flato, who is considered the first celebrity jeweler, where he worked alongside Count Fulco di Verdura.
He is currently a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association and First Lutheran Church of Kearney and a former member of the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce.
Lazarus was appointed a circuit judge for Broward County, Florida in 1993 by governor Lawton Chiles.
