History of Bareilly

Originally, some 20,000 soldiers from various Pashtun Tribes ( Yusafzais, Ghoris, Lodis, Ghilzai, Barech, Marwat, Durrani, Tanoli, Tarin, Kakar, Khattak, Afridi and Baqarzai ) were hired by Mughals to provide soldiers to the Mughal armies and this was appreciated by Aurangzeb Alamgir, an additional force of 25,000 men was given respected positions in Mughal Army.

Khushal Khan Khattak

The Khattak tribe of Khushal Khan now mostly lives in areas of Karak, Kohat, Nowshera, Akora Khattak, Cherat, Peshawar, Mardan and in other parts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He was the son of Malik Shahbaz Khan Khattak from Akora, in the Mughal Empire (now in Nowshera District).

Pervez Khattak

Pervez Khattak born at the residence of noted government contractor Hastam Khan (late) on 1 January 1950 at village Manki Sharif in the politically fertile district of Nowshera, Pervez Khattak received his early education at the Aitchison College,Lahore.

Yusuf Khattak

Khattak was born into a prominent Khattak and Karak tribal family, in Kohat, North-West Frontier Province of the British Indian Empire.
