Laja Yang is a village about 20 kilometre from Laiza on the way from Myitkyina to Bhamo in Kachin State, Myanmar.
He founded a fort at Santa Cruz de Oñez in May 1594, near the confluence of the Bio-Bio and Laja Rivers in Catiray, where gold mines were located on the Rele River.
It was located five or six kilometers to the southwest of Yumbel on the west shore of the Claro River to the north of its confluence with the Laja River.
