3 unusual facts about Lammot du Pont Copeland


Delaware Art Museum

A consolidated library opened in 1985 in the new Pamela and Lammot du Pont Copeland wing and was named in honor of Mrs. Sloan.

Pyle left behind many students and patrons in his home town of Wilmington, including Frank Schoonover, Stanley Arthurs, and Louisa du Pont Copeland, who wished to honor Pyle's memory through the museum.

Mt. Cuba Center

Mt. Cuba Center started as the vision of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lammot du Pont Copeland, who began acquiring land near Wilmington, Delaware in 1935, and completed construction of their Colonial Revival house in 1937.
