The ceiling of the main room is decorated by a magnificent fresco by the Italian artist Luca Giordano, painted around 1696–1697 for King Charles II of Spain and depicting The Apotheosis of the Spanish Monarchy.
In the room to the left wing of the Tower the ceiling displays frescoes painted by Francisco Pacheco between 1603 and 1604 that enhance the apotheosis of Hercules, and in the room that follows the Tower is a tiny series of works by Francisco Goya of a bullfight, then a still life by Giuseppe Recco in the dining room and a table representing Mary Magdalene painted in the sixteenth century; in the library are three works by painter Luca Giordano.
There is a large collection of Spanish paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries including Jacopo Bassano (Los cacharreros), Sofonisba Anguissola, Annibale Carracci, Francesco Furini (La creación de Eva), Luca Giordano, Giovanni Paolo Pannini, José de Ribera (Cristo coronado de espinas), Francisco Antolínez, Joaquín Inza and Neri di Bicci.
In the Santísimo Cristo Chapel there are artworks by Alonso Cano, Luca Giordano and el Greco.
Behind the basilica is Camarin de la Virgen, an octagonal baroque structure (1687–96) with the impressive stuccoed Chamber of the Virgin and nine paintings by Luca Giordano.

The building is now occupied by a bank; though the interiors still possess major works of art and decoration, including paintings by Luca Giordano, Bernardo Strozzi, Pieter Mulier the younger, Domenico Maria Canuti, Lionello Spada, Fabrizio Chiari, Felice Giani, Vincenzo Camuccini, Francesco Zuccarelli, Francesco Manno and Giuseppe Bonito.
Over the tapestry of the Crucifixion (executed in Antwerp on Ludwig van Schoor's cartoons, 1698) is a painting by Luca Giordano, with the Passage of the Red Sea (1691).
