Since 2004, Newman has worked with Githead, a quartet composed of Newman and long-time collaborator Malka Spigel, as well as Max Franken and Robin Rimbaud.
Max Franken is the drummer of Minimal Compact, a rock band that achieved success in Europe in the 1980s.
With this release Minimal Compact had become a "real band" with the addition of the native Amsterdammer Max Franken on drums.
