Alfred Leland Crabb

Crabb was best known for his trilogy of historical novels published between 1942 and 1945 that featured Nashville landmarks: Dinner at Belmont, Supper at the Maxwell House, and Breakfast at The Hermitage. The historical sites and traditional southern meals of their titles reflect Crabb's interest in the southern way of life in Nashville during the last half of the 19th century.

Cumberland County, Kentucky

Cumberland County was the birthplace of Joel Cheek who later made Maxwell House coffee.

Deutsche Extrakt Kaffee

In 1955, the coffee roasters and importers Max Hertz, Walter Jacobs, Eduard Schopf and Bernhard Rothfos (*1898 in St. Magnus, †1998 in Hamburg) got together to plan the conversion of their own factories in order to facilitate the joint operation of the complex and expensive coffee extraction process (alongside Nestlé and Maxwell).
