Liberation Army of Preševo, Medveđa and Bujanovac

The Liberation Army of Preševo, Medveđa and Bujanovac (Albanian: Ushtria Çlirimtare e Preshevës, Medvegjës dhe Bujanocit, UÇPMB) was a separatist militant group fighting for independence from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia for the three municipalities: Preševo, Bujanovac, and Medveđa, home to most of the ethnic Albanians of Central Serbia, adjacent to Kosovo.

Medveđa

Between 1999 and 2001, an ethnic Albanian guerilla organization, known as the "Liberation Army of Preševo, Medveđa and Bujanovac", operated in this region with a goal to secede these three municipalities from Yugoslavia and join them to Kosovo as a part of the Greater Albanian ideal.


Battle of Kumanovo

Third Army, under Božidar Janković, composed of four infantry divisions and one infantry brigade (76,000 men), deployed in two groups, the first one at Toplica and the second one at Medveđa, was assigned to the westernmost attack, with the task to take Kosovo and then move south to attack the left flank of the enemy.

Triplex Confinium

There was an actual place named the Triplex Confinium after the treaty of peace of Karlowitz (Sremski Karlovci) in 1699 and today it is a territory belonging to the Republics of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina (the very point where empires met was Medveđak, today Medveđa Glavica, at the top of Debelo Brdo, a mountain northeast of Knin).

West Morava

between the regions of Temnić (north) and Rasina (south); several large villages are located north of the river (Medveđa, Great Drenova, Kukljin, Bošnjane, while the village of Globoder, town of Kruševac and its suburbs of Jasika, Pepeljevac, Parunovac and Čitluk are located south of it.
