Loud and Quiet

In October 2011, Loud And Quiet Recordings released 'Bloodflood' / 'Tessellate' the debut single by Alt-J (∆) who were later nominated for and won Mercury Prize in 2012.

Myths of the Near Future

The Mercury Prize-winning band Klaxons named their debut album after the book, and have been quoted as saying they are fans of Ballard's work, reflected in their science fiction and futuristic lyrical content.

Vilayer

Vilayer is the debut album by the band Kerretta, released in 2009, and nominated for the New Zealand equivalent of the Mercury Prize, The Taite Music Award.


Kathryn Williams

The follow-up, Little Black Numbers, garnered a Mercury Prize nomination in 2000, bringing her to the attention of a wider public.

XL Recordings
