Kobayakawa clan

Members of the Kobayakawa family served under the Mōri clan, and Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

Ōtomo clan

Towards the end of the 16th century, the Ōtomo fought both the Shimazu and Mōri clans, of whom the latter were expert sailors.

Ōuchi clan

Ōuchi Yoshinaga (d. 1557) – The last Ōuchi lord, Yoshinaga committed suicide shortly after the Battle of Miyajima in which his family was defeated by the Mōri.

Tōzen-ji
