The latter line runs south toward Shinjuku and Shibuya along Meiji-dori, and offers through services to Motomachi-Chūkagai Station in Yokohama via the Tōkyū Tōyoko Line and Minatomirai Line.
However, Motomachi-Chūkagai Station on the Minato Mirai Line, which opened in 2004, is closer to those locations.

From 16 March 2013, the Tōkyū Tōyoko Line moved to share the line's Shibuya terminus, enabling through services on the Minatomirai Line to Motomachi-Chūkagai Station in Yokohama.

The Green Line is a stage in the planned line to from Tsurumi Station to Hiyoshi Station, the current green line to Nakayama Station, to Futamatagawa Station, and on to Higashi-Totsuka Station, and to Kami-Ōoka Station, Negishi Station, and Motomachi.
