Wendell also appeared as a TV announcer in the movie, Mr. Saturday Night, which starred Billy Crystal as comedian Buddy Young, Jr., a character Crystal originally created when he was a regular on Saturday Night Live.
He scored Lily Tomlin's The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe and is the featured violinist on numerous film soundtracks, including Billy Crystal's Mr. Saturday Night and Steve Martin's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels .
Crystal produced and co-wrote the screenplay with the writing duo Babaloo Mandel and Lowell Ganz.
