Allied Forces Northern Europe, the most northern NATO headquarters from 1952 to 1993 located at Kolsås, Norway
The postwar boom years, enhanced by the establishment of the European Union and NATO headquarters in Brussels, contributed to the rapid expansion of light industry throughout most of Flanders, particularly along a corridor stretching between Brussels and Antwerp, which is the second largest port in Europe after Rotterdam.
In 1995 he was assigned to the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, where he served as a Military Assistant to Commander, Implementation Force (IFOR) (COMIFOR).
Following graduation he joined the U.S. Navy where he served as a Lieutenant Junior Grade aboard a minesweeper and also worked at NATO Headquarters Naples, Italy.
While working for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in their Chicago and London offices, Michel Mossessian, along with his business partner, Larry Oltmanns, made a successful bid, resulting in the design of the new NATO headquarters in Brussels.
His previous positions include head of public relations at Coca-Cola Norway, communication consultant at JKL Oslo and Burson-Marsteller as well as media relations officer at NATO headquarters in Stavanger.
