There were formerly two dialects: the Upper Negidal dialect along the Amgun River (village of Vladimirovka), still residually spoken, and the now extinct Lower dialect in its lower reaches (villages of Tyr and Beloglinka, the town of Nikolaevsk-on-Amur).
