Edmund Knoll-Kownacki

In the battle since 1939; became a prisoner of war and was in detention through 1945 (since 27 April 1942 in Oflag VII-A Murnau).

Wacław Piekarski

He capitulated with his forces on 26 September 1939 and spent the rest of the war in German captivity in Oflag VIII-E Johannisbrunn and Oflag VII-A Murnau.

Walerian Czuma

After he was liberated from the Oflag VII-A Murnau POW camp in Murnau am Staffelsee, Germany, by the American forces he joined the Polish Army in the West.


Attack on the NKVD Camp in Rembertów

Gris Davies-Scourfield

Following capture he was moved between transit camps until reaching Oflag VII-C, Laufen.

As of 2012 the site of the camp is occupied by the barracks and training school of II. Bereitschaftspolizeiabteilung ("2nd Riot Police Division") of the Bavarian State Police.

Ronald Littledale

With other captured officers he was marched across northern France for about 10 days then taken by train from near Luxembourg to Trier, Mainz and onward to Oflag VII-CLaufen in Mid June 1940.
