Oldbury-on-the-Hill

Parish registers for Oldbury-on-the-Hill survive from as early as 1568, and all surviving records for the period 1568 to 1978 are deposited at the Gloucester Record Office.

Tipton Green

The dissolution of Tipton Municipal Borough saw the bulk of the authority absorbed into an expanded borough of West Bromwich, while most of the Tividale area of Tipton was absorbed into the new County Borough of Warley (centred on the towns of Oldbury, Smethwick and Rowley Regis) and a small section of the Tipton Green area (including the former council offices in Sedgley Road West) was absorbed into an expanded County Borough of Dudley.

Brandhall

It was formerly a popular place due to being located near the River Severn which at this point offers a walk with scenic views of the Severn Bridge a few miles away and the Oldbury power station.

Warley, West Midlands

The name was re-used in 1966 by the creation of the County Borough of Warley, from the merger of Oldbury with Smethwick and Rowley Regis as well as parts of Dudley and Tipton.
