While a student he was a varsity quarterback in football and was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, T.I.L.K.A., the Z Society, the Raven Society, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon social fraternity.
She was a four-time scholar-athlete, co-captain of the women's lacrosse team (First Team All-State, a First-Team All-ODAC and a First Team All-Region selection) and a national leadership society Omicron Delta Kappa.

Caddell was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha, Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Delta Phi, and the Decatur Kiwanis Club, of which he served as president in 1939; and the Decatur Chamber of Commerce (president from 1944 to 1945).
During the course of her years at AUM, Delia was very involved on campus: president of the AUM Student Government Association, president of Omicron Delta Kappa, member of the AUM Honors Program, member of Zeta Tau Alpha, member of Phi Kappa Phi, and School of Business Ambassador.
