ParisTech has a strong presence in Palaiseau, with two member institutes: the École Polytechnique, France's most prestigious engineering school, and an annex of École nationale supérieure de techniques avancées, which are now located in Palaiseau, on the Plateau de Saclay.
Some years ago, the École nationale des ponts et chaussées and the École Polytechnique eventually moved their educational and research facilities to more spacious campuses in greater Paris, respectively in Marne-la-Vallée (East) and Palaiseau (South).

Chimie ParisTech (officially École nationale supérieure de chimie de Paris (National Chemical Engineering Institute in Paris), also known as ENSCP or Chimie Paris) is an elite chemical science and engineering college founded in 1896, located in the 5th arrondissement of Paris.
ENSAE is member of ParisTech, the excellence engineering cluster gathering the best parisian Grandes Ecoles in each area of engineering: X, AgroParisTech, ENGREF, Ponts, ESPCI, Mines, ENSTA, ENSAM, Télécom Paris, Chimie ParisTech).
Before that, he was a visiting professor at a number of renowned European technical universities such as the ENST- ParisTech, the ETH-Zurich or Technical University of Denmark.
Known for its student life, lively atmosphere and bistros, the Latin Quarter is the home to a number of higher education establishments besides the university itself, such as the École Normale Supérieure, the École des Mines de Paris (a ParisTech institute), Panthéon-Assas University, the Schola Cantorum, and the Jussieu university campus.
