Pedro Almodóvar (b. 1949), a Spanish filmmaker (and the brother of Agustin Almodovar)
Performed with Jimmy Somerville at the London premier of the 1992 film Orlando and at the London premier of the 1991 Pedro Almodóvar film High Heels.
It comes in two different editions, English/Chinese and Spanish/Japanese and is designed by Oscar Mariné creator of Pedro Almodóvar's movie posters.
The title of Pedro Almodóvar's film Tacones lejanos (literally "Distant Heels" but released as High Heels) is a reference to the Spanish title of this film (Tambores lejanos).
Among his many roles in films is his collaboration with Pedro Almodóvar in Hable con ella and in Live Flesh along with Javier Bardem, where he won the Goya Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in 1997.
However, the character for which he will be most remembered for is the bullfighter in the film Matador, Pedro Almodóvar, where he co-starred with a very young Antonio Banderas.
Though not as famous as his seniors beyond his home-state Bengal, Sen is the maverick filmmaker of Indian Cinema whose work, as felt in Karlovy Vary Film Festival catalogue, strongly resembles that of Pedro Almodóvar.
On the positive side, Joe Leydon of Daily Variety gave it a rave review, calling it "A compulsively watchable mix of high camp and grand passions, soap opera and softcore sex. Very much in the deliriously lewd style of Pedro Almodóvar—who has co-written unproduced scripts with Gutierrez, and gets a shout-out in the closing credits—this exuberantly uninhibited indie has the anything-goes spirit of something tossed off in a single burst of collaborative energy."

He was also added as an actor in theatrical works and in TV series such as Countdown, Al salir de clase, Policías, en el corazón de la calle, Raquel busca su sitio, Petra Delicado, 7 vidas, Hospital Central, Los hombres de Paco and a small role in the movie Broken Embraces, directed by Pedro Almodóvar.
Among many other films, he worked under the direction of Pedro Almodóvar in the Academy Award winner Talk to Her.
Her rendition of Jobim / Vinicius' song "Por Toda A Minha Vida" appeared on the soundtrack to the 2002 movie Hable con Ella (Talk to Her) directed by Pedro Almodóvar and her song "Roda" appeared on the soundtrack to the 2005 movie Be Cool.
Other notable films include her three films in Spain: Live Flesh (1997, by Pedro Almodóvar, ¡Dispara! (Outrage, 1993, by Carlos Saura), both with her own voice speaking Spanish, and sex drama film Las edades de Lulú (The Ages of Lulu, 1990, by Bigas Luna, where she's dubbed into Spanish).
His work spanned different fields such as art designer in movies or music and he was mainly known for writing and directing the film Arrebato (Rapture), and for designing the posters and promotion of Pedro Almodóvar's first movies.
He began his career working in the department director of films like Bad Education and Talk to Her, Pedro Almodóvar, The Devil's Backbone, Guillermo del Toro or Moulin Rouge!, Baz Luhrmann.
As a set decorator she helped Pedro Almodóvar achieve his trademark vivid color schemes in the movie Bad Education (2004) and also worked with Juan Carlos Fresnadillo on his acclaimed first feature Intacto (2001).
In 1965, she covered "Un anno d'amore" in other three languages: in spanish ("Un año de amor" with lyrics written by Gaby Verlor), in turkish ("Dön bana") and in japanese ("Wakare"), plus a second spanish version in 2007 (lyrics by Pedro Almodóvar) for Todavía, in a duo with the flamenco singer Diego El Cigala.
