Although highly industrialized, Saltillo offers a variety of cultural attractions, such as the Plaza de Armas, the Government Palace, the Cathedral de Santiago, and several interesting museums.
When he returned to Peru on April 8, 1912, he was received as a national hero, and in his honor a parade took place in Lima, along the Jirón de la Unión to the Plaza de Armas.

Located on the eastern side of the Plaza de Armas in Old Havana it is home to the Museum of the City of Havana (Museo de la Ciudad).
