Port Perry

Port Perry has attracted many film crews over the years, both for feature film and television; it doubled as the Maine town of Mooseport in the 2004 film Welcome to Mooseport and was used briefly as a small town in New Hampshire during the sixth season of The West Wing.

The event is an annual event held in November and takes place at the Port Perry Community Curling Club in Port Perry, Ontario.

Mrs. Farndale has been the recipient of many awards: the Ontario Crafts Council John Mather award for Lifetime Achievement; a 10-year volunteer service award winner from the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship, Culture and Communications; the Paul Harris Fellow Award winner from the Rotary International Club of Port Perry; a 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada Medal and an International Year of the Volunteer Certificate of Honour recipient from Lakeridge Health Corporation.

Mrs. Farndale is well known for her fundraising efforts for Lakeridge Health Corporation-Port Perry (the local hospital) and the gallery that bears her name at the Scugog Memorial Public Library.
