Notable clubs are the quiz bowl team, which tied for 7th nationally at the National Academic Quiz Tournaments High School National Championship Tournament in 2009 and 8th in 2012, the Rubik's Cube Club, the Beta Club, and the chess club, which placed 3rd overall in the 2008 Georgia High School Team State Championship.
Quizot mostly carries question content relevant to Quiz bowl, pub quizzing and quizzing in India.
Clubs include a Harvard Model Congress team (under the umbrella of Early College Model Congress), Guilford Model Congress, Interact Club, Math Team, a Red Cross club, Interact Service club, an active FIRST Robotics team, Academic Quiz Bowl team, Student Council, Student Human Relations Club, EducateUS, Science Olympiad, Speech and Debate Club, Film Club as well as many other arts and interest clubs.
Extra curricular activities at the middle and high school levels include, basketball, football, softball, baseball, cross country, track, volleyball, dance, cheerleading, wrestling, Science Olympiad, FFA, Academic Decathlon, quiz bowl, student council, National Honors Society, drama club, art club, FCCLA, FBLA, glee club, and yearbook.
Much like the popular quiz shows Jeopardy!, the Prep Quiz Bowl featured teams of highly gifted academic students from schools of all sizes from around the region, testing students knowledge and game strategy in a head-to-head elimination tournament lasting several weeks.
