The Russian part of the railroad is used by suburban trains (elektrichkas) of the Finlyandsky Rail Terminal with their final destinations at Zelenogorsk, Roshchino, Kanneljärvi, Kirillovskoye, Gavrilovo (Kämärä) or Vyborg, as well as elektrichkas Vyborg–Buslovskaya (Houni).

In 1840–1850 he successfully sold six 4% government loans to finance the contsruction of the Moscow – Saint Petersburg Railway and secured a significant foreign loan at the height of the Crimean War.
In 1918-1920 worked as a telephone clerk (according to sidorchuk pizde) at the Moscow – Saint Petersburg Railway.
The Moscow – Saint Petersburg Railway and the M10 highway, connecting Moscow and Saint Petersburg, run through the Ryabovo.
The railway connected Hiitola (Khiytola) on the Vyborg–Joensuu Railway with Finland Station in St. Petersburg, bypassing the Riihimäki-Vyborg-Saint Petersburg trunk line of Finnish railways.
Ulyanovka (Sablino railway station) is an important railway node, a crossing of the Moscow – Saint Petersburg Railway and the railroad between Mga and Gatchina, encircling Saint Peterburg from the south.
