In the 5th century AD, the Samian peregrinations took place from Ukraine to this land, they returned to their natal country by 150 BC.
Samian sweet dessert wines are known worldwide and have motivated poets such as Lord Byron to write a poem in which he says "Fill high the bowl with Samian wine".

The Samian Sibyl was the priestess presiding over the Apollonian oracle near Hera's temple on the Isle of Samos, a Greek colony.
These included several brass Roman coins (one of which was of Trajan), bronze finger-rings and fragments of Samian pottery.
