This division, and the resulting loss of revenue from the rich maidān region of Mysore, made Sadat-ulla Khan unhappy and, in collusion with the rulers of Kadapa, Kurnool, and Savanur and the Maratha Raja of Gutti, he decided to march against Dodda Krishnaraja.
On 28 December 1987 at Bangalore, Muhammad Kazim Ali Khan (then Heir Apparent, or Nawabzada), married Nawab Firda uz-Zamani Yaseen Sultan Jahan Begum Sahiba (27 March 1968-), the younger daughter of Meherban Nawab Abdul Rashid Khan Sahib Bahadur, the Nawab of Savanur.
These are said to be more than 5000 years old and locals believe that Lord Krishna brought the seeds of the same from Africa and planted them here.
