The most recent example was Raith Rovers who represented Scotland in the 1995–96 UEFA Cup after winning the League Cup the previous season as a First Division club.


France Football European Team of the Year

In 1970 after winning the domestic double (Scottish League and Scottish League Cup) and getting to the European Cup Final of 1970, Celtic F.C. were presented with European Team of the Year by France Football.

Pieter Huistra

Between 1990 and 1995 he played for Scottish Premier Division club Rangers, becoming the first of a number of Dutch players to play for the club, where he won five League medals, two League Cup medals and a Scottish Cup medal.
