In recent years it has been headlined by acts such as Alice In Chains in 2008, Sevendust in 2009, Three Days Grace in 2010 and Papa Roach in 2011.
"Angel's Son" is a song written by Lajon Witherspoon and Clint Lowery of Sevendust and performed by Witherspoon and two fellow Sevendust members (drummer Morgan Rose and guitarist/vocalist Clint Lowery) and ex-Snot band member (now ex-Sevendust guitarist) Sonny Mayo, for the post-mortem compilation CD in honor of James Lynn Strait known as Strait Up.
Between the two releases and after the band's tour with the metal act Sevendust, bass guitarist Rayna Foss married Sevendust's drummer Morgan Rose and became pregnant, necessitating another bass guitar player on tour, a role filled by Nadja Peulen.
In support of the new record, Day of Fire toured with Cold, Nonpoint, Edisun, 16 Second Stare, Sevendust, Papa Roach, Saving Abel, and Hail the Villain, and played several festival dates with likes of Thousand Foot Krutch, Pop Evil, We the Kings, After Midnight Project, and Trapt.
Devil's Nite was the only band without a national presence that appeared on the CD, and "Train" found itself on an album that included artists like Sevendust, Slash's Snakepit and Alice Cooper.
He started playing drums around 1987 and influences include Scarve, Opeth, Soilwork, Ensiferum, Disarmonia Mundi, Dream Theater, Meshuggah, Annihilator, Deathchain, Hate Eternal, Rotten Sound, Rytmihäiriö, Sevendust, and Wintersun.
The band was then immediately flown out to California for a preliminary recording session with producer Sylvia Massy (Tool, System of a Down, Powerman 5000) and then to Chicago's Johnny K in October(Disturbed, Sevendust, Avenged Sevenfold)to record their 2011 singles.

Mayo was replaced by the original Sevendust guitarist, Clint Lowery, in 2008.
Unable Heir took place in Rock The Ink Fest along with many national acts, including Godsmack, Bret Michaels, Killswitch Engage, Saliva, Sevendust, and many more.
They started off the year opening for Sevendust, Nonpoint and Wicked Wisdom at The Rave in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 12, several small "hometown" dates around Chicago, and 3 day stint with Allele in March.
