Jacques Vieau

In 1818 Jacques Vieau hired another French-Canadian named Solomon Juneau, who later married his daughter Josette and went on to found what was to become the City of Milwaukee.

Milwaukee River

In the early 19th century, three towns were formed across the banks of the Milwaukee and Kinnickinnic rivers: Juneautown by Solomon Juneau, Walker's Point by George H. Walker and Kilbourntown by Byron Kilbourn.

William Juneau

Juneau was the grandnephew of Solomon Juneau (1793–1856), a fur trader, land speculator, and politician who helped found the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
