During his stay in Hollywood, Tong also created some popular TV series such as Mr. Magoo (脱线先生)(1996) and Martial Law (film) (过江龙)(1998), both receiving best drama ratings in the nation.

A Wicked Ghost III: The Possession is a 2002 Hong Kong horror film produced by Stanley Tong, directed by Hung Chung-hap and starring Gigi Lai, Cheung Tat-ming, Grace Lam, Yip Sai Wing, Wayne Lai, Patrick Keung, Jenny Yam and Joyce Han.
The rights were later picked up by Mindfire Entertainment, with Stanley Tong in negotiation to direct and frequent Uwe Boll collaborator Mark A. Altman handling the script.
