Yeo Cheow Tong (Singapore), former Cabinet Minister in Singapore.
The station is located between Clementi and Buona Vista, and was officially opened on 18 October 2001 by the then Minister for Transport, Mr Yeo Cheow Tong.
Its distribution in Singapore bookstores and in Singapore's National Library (NLB) was restricted by a threatened lawsuit by Helen Yeo, wife of former Singapore Cabinet Minister Yeo Cheow Tong.
Then Communications and Information Technology Minister Yeo Cheow Tong visited the site soon after being told of the accident.
The buses were launched on 15 February 2006 by Singapore's then Minister for Transport, Yeo Cheow Tong.
Yeo was educated at Anglo-Chinese School, before receiving a Colombo Plan Scholarship in 1967 to study at the University of Western Australia, where he received a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree.
