The Mark Inside

Recorded in three separate sessions, two produced by Thom D'Arcy, and one session by the band themselves, The Mark Inside originally released their debut album Static/Crash themselves on their own record label Vampire Dance but, as their notoriety grew in Toronto, the album was picked up by MapleMusic Recordings.

The 1946 Antarctica PBM Mariner crash occurred on December 30, 1946 on Thurston Island, Antarctica when a United States Navy PBM Mariner crashed during a blizzard.

1962 Turkish Airlines Taurus Mountains crash

The 1962 Turkish Airlines Taurus Mountains crash occurred on 8 March 1962 at 17:43 local time (15:43 UTC) when a Turkish Airlines Fairchild F-27 airliner, registration TC-KOP, on a scheduled domestic flight from Esenboğa Airport (ESB/LTAC) in Ankara to Adana Airport (ADA/LTAF), flew into the Bolkar Mountains on approach to landing.

2003 Staten Island Ferry crash

Mayor Michael Bloomberg promptly announced that the crash was an accident, allaying fears of a public still stunned by the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which killed a large number of Staten Island residents.

Carve Her Name with Pride

The poem, 'The Life That I Have', also known as 'Yours', recited to Violette by her husband Etienne, was once believed to have been written especially for the film, but was in fact the actual code poem given to her in March 1944 by the SOE cryptographer Leo Marks, and written by him on Christmas Eve 1943 in memory of his girlfriend, Ruth, who had recently died in a car crash.
