Subspecies

A tiger's binomen is Panthera tigris, so for a Sumatran tiger the trinomen is, for example, Panthera tigris sumatrae.


Acris gryllus

Subspecies Acris gryllus gryllus is found in the Atlantic Coastal Plain from southeastern Virginia through the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi, west to the Mississippi River.

Andean Siskin

The nominate subspecies occurs in coastal mountains of northern Aragua in north Venezuela, the Andes of westerm Venezuela, through the Serranía del Perijá and the eastern Andes in Colombia south to Valle, Putumayo, Nariño and Pichincha Province in Ecuador.
