The main area is made up of 68 terraces and planted with spices crops like clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, and vanilla and fruits like mangosteen, jack, durain, litchi, longsal, carambola, grape fruits, rose apple and mango.
Due to the warm and mostly windless weather, Linbian is famous for growing some of the best lembu fruits in Taiwan, with one of the longest harvest time in the country, therefore it is often referred as "the lembu township" (蓮霧之鄉).
In the cuisine of Indian Ocean islands, the fruit is frequently used in salads, as well as in lightly sautéed dishes.
