The name TZU is taken from the Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu.

En-Tzu Chang，a contemporary artist from Taiwan，Born in Kaohsiung City, TAIWAN, R.O.C， graduated from Department of Fine Arts, National Kaohsiung Normal University。
He has stated that he is influenced philosophically by Lao-Tzu, Buddha and Jiddu Krishnamurti and that he likes the bands Secret Chiefs 3, Mercury Rev and Simian among many others.

The historian Li Ling mentions this in his simplified version "Sun Tzu" in the "Espionage" chapter, viz “When the Zhou flourished, Lu Ya was in Yin" followed by the sentence, “When the Yan State flourished, Su Qin was in Qi”. Li Ling believes that this "Sun Tzu" is not the same as the one handed down to later generations and is clearly the history of the late Warring States period.

His father Mow Pang Tzu (毛邦初), a graduate of the 3rd class of China’s Whampoa Military Academy in 1927, was Lt. General of the Republic of China Air Force.
