The Limewoods are diverse in tree species and ground species, but are dominated by the Small-leaved Lime Tilia cordata.
The name is probably connected with the 500-800-year-old, legendary Linden tree which is east of Linn.
Nowadays both hills are mostly covered by broadleaf forests (with Acer platanoides, Fraxinus excelsior, Tilia cordata, Ulmus glabra, Quercus robur, Corylus avellana), very uncommon for the region situated in the taiga belt, and have a peculiar fauna and flora.
Of particular rarity in the county are the areas of English oak (Quercus robur) and Cornish oak (Quercus petraea) with small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata) coppice.
The first element is lind f 'linden' (Tilia cordata), the last element is the finite form of øy f 'island'.
The main tree species found on the site include ash (Fraxinus excelsior), common beech (Fagus sylvatica), small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata) and wych elm (Ulmus glabra), as well as English oak (Quercus robur) and sessile oak (Quercus petraea).
A very remarkable sight of Reisjärvi nature is probably the northernmost in Finland habitat of wild Small-leaved Lime (Tilia cordata), 63° 38′ N. There have still been growing 7 old long-boled limes in mixed forest on cape Kokkoniemi jutting out into lake Pitkäjärvi.
Other ingredients include extracts of chamomile, a daisy-like plant with "a calming agent to fend off stress ... and ease digestion", passiflora, a genus of about 500 species of flowering plants with "anti-depressant and relaxing" properties, valerian, a herb that "relieves symptoms of nervousness", Tilia cordata, a linden tree known for "facilitating sleep", and hops, a "nerve calming" flowering plant.
