3 unusual facts about Tim Devlin

Tim Devlin

Tim Devlin, while a Tory MP, helped arrange a meeting in which Customs was ordered to drop charges against Middlesbrough drug trafficker Brian Charrington on drug-smuggling changes on 28 January 1993.

He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Stockton South constituency from 1987, when he defeated Ian Wrigglesworth to 1997, when he lost to Labour's Dari Taylor.

The case was dropped, since it emerged that he was a paid informant for Customs officers, with all accused including Curtis Warren acquitted of all charges.
