The cover design of the Series 2000 books was different from the original books, though the cover art was again by Tim Jacobus.
The Haunted Mask was authored by R. L. Stine and originally illustrated by Tim Jacobus.
Jacobus is best known for creating the covers to all 67 issues of R. L. Stine's book series Goosebumps, the first book of Give Yourself Goosebumps (Escape from the Carnival of Horrors), the three cancelled Goosebumps Gold covers, all of the Special Editions and Monster Editions, and all 25 Goosebumps Series 2000 books.
