Gordon Spice(born 18 April 1940), is an ex British racing driver who competed in both sports cars and Touring Car racing in the 1960s and 1970s before starting Spice Engineering with fellow racing driver Ray Bellm in the 1980s.
In 2001, at Charlotte (Lowe's Motor Speedway) final practice, Dynes was caught up in an accident which left him with back injuries, in 2003 he competed in Touring Cars and the ASCAR stock car series based at Rockingham England, Dynes along with IndyCar legend Dario franchitti are the only British drivers ever to compete in both the NASCAR Nationwide and the ARCA REMAX Series.
Following the 1986 race, and as part of safety upgrades the circuit needed to bring it up to FIA standards for inclusion in the 1987 World Touring Car Championship, a chicane was added to Conrod Straight, eliminating the second hump which had long been seen as dangerous at the speeds the touring cars were traveling.
