The Wild Rose Fire was the largest and is located north of U.S. Highway 12 and east of Rimrock Lake.
Dells Raceway Park (DRP), formerly known as the Dells Motor Speedway, is a car racing raceway located in the town of Lyndon, in Juneau County, north of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin just off of U.S. Route 12/Wisconsin Highway 16.
The combined 53/120 extension would form a large T shape in the center of Lake County, with the 120 bypass carrying through-traffic from U.S. Route 12 to the Tri-State Tollway around Gurnee.
Then SR 49 leaves Valparaiso heading north toward Chesterton having an interchange with U.S. Route 6, Interstate 80/Interstate 90/Indiana Toll Road, Interstate 94, U.S. Route 20, and U.S. Route 12.
The CDP combines the area around Malone and Porter, two small towns located just off U.S. Route 12, southeast of Elma and northwest of Oakville, and along a shortline that is part of Puget Sound and Pacific Railroad.
