Forbes Road

Later, U.S. Route 22 largely followed portions of the Forbes Road from Monroeville through a town now named "Forbes Road" and Hannastown to Latrobe.

The Pointe at North Fayette

The Pointe is unique in that it has an exit off one of Pittsburgh's busiest highways, I-376/US 22/US 30 (known locally as the Parkway West).


Bethlehem Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania

Its major roads include east-to-west Highway 22, William Penn Highway, and Freemansburg Road and north-to-south Highway 33, Route 191, Butztown Road/Hecktown Road, Farmersville Road, and Main Street Extension.

Fort Steuben Bridge

The Fort Steuben Bridge, originally the Weirton-Steubenville Bridge, was a suspension bridge which spanned the Ohio River from Steubenville, Ohio to Weirton, West Virginia and carried U.S. Route 22 and then Ohio State Route 822 during its existence.

Mon–Fayette Expressway

The Southern Beltway is planned to be a high-speed east-west link between the Mon–Fayette Expressway, Interstate 79, U.S. Route 22, Interstate 376, and Pittsburgh International Airport.

New Jersey Route 28

Its western terminus is at U.S. Route 22 in Bridgewater Township, Somerset County while its eastern terminus is at Route 27 in Elizabeth, Union County.

Palmer Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania

Highway 22 crosses it east-to-west and interchanges in the township just west of Wilson with Route 248, which connects Easton and Nazareth.

Tussey Mountain

The Frankstown Branch Juniata River runs north along the west foot of the ridge before turning east along U.S. Route 22 at Water Street, the river, road, and rail (abandoned PRR Petersburg Branch) crossing the ridge line through a water gap.
