Mexican Federal Highway 17

The northern terminus of the highway continues north into the United States at Douglas, Arizona as U.S. Route 191.

Rucker Canyon

The wash drains into the southern region of the slightly north-west by due south Sulphur Springs Valley, east of north-south running U.S. Route 191 and the small communities of Elfrida, McNeal, and Sunizona.

U.S. Route 191

Its northern terminus at the international border is called Port Morgan, and the road continues into Saskatchewan as Highway 4 toward Swift Current.

The route between Springerville and Morenci was designated a National Scenic Byway and given the name of Coronado Trail Scenic Byway, as this approximates the path taken by Francisco Vásquez de Coronado between 1540 and 1542.

Shortly after following South Navajo Boulevard, however, US 180 follows a South-Southeast route, running by the Petrified Forest National Park and continuing South-Southeast to and through a small branch of the Zuni Indian Reservation, to St. Johns, Apache County, Arizona where it meets U.S. Route 191.
