unusual facts about U.S. Route 6

WRKT

As one travels east on U.S. Route 6 into the city of Warren, a Christian radio station on 100.7 FM (a WCTL repeater) starts to interfere with Rocket 101's signal.

California State Route 14

Carson and Colorado Railway

Much of the route parallels U.S. Route 95 Alternate, U.S. Route 95, Nevada State Route 360 or U.S. Route 6

Indiana State Road 49

Then SR 49 leaves Valparaiso heading north toward Chesterton having an interchange with U.S. Route 6, Interstate 80/Interstate 90/Indiana Toll Road, Interstate 94, U.S. Route 20, and U.S. Route 12.

Kingery Expressway

The highway then reaches its only exit, a junction with Illinois Route 83 and U.S. Route 6; east of here, US 6 becomes concurrent with the expressway.

Mt. Pisgah State Park

The park is located almost exactly halfway between Troy and Towanda, along Pennsylvania State Route 3019, near U.S. Route 6, at the base of Mt. Pisgah.

Ohio State Route 61

Its southern terminus is at the U.S. Route 36/State Route 3 concurrency in Sunbury, and its northern terminus is at U.S. Route 6 east of Huron, at the southernmost point of Lake Erie (which is subsequently the southernmost northern border of the United States).

Pancake Range

U.S. Route 6 crosses the Pancake Range at Sandy Summit north of Lunar Crater between Currant to the east and Warm Springs to the southwest of the range.

Tri-State Highway

The original designations for the expressway were Interstate 80, 90, and 294, as well as a portion of U.S. Route 6.

WHRQ

Since all three stations carry nearly all of the EWTN radio schedule, EWTN programming is easily accessed on a car radio along the I-75, Ohio State Route 15 and U.S. Route 6 corridors in northwestern and north central Ohio by all three stations in their respective areas and frequencies.
