In recent years, B3 Media has collaborated extensively with the UK Film Council in running Blank Slate, a scheme designed to assist minority filmmaking talent.
Most recently they have been awarded funding for their latest stop motion animated short I Wish I Were an Elephant from the UK Film Council, New Cinema Fund, Digital Shorts Scheme via regional screen agency Screen East.
Me and Her is a 2006 short film jointly commissioned by, the UK Film Council, Scottish Screen and Glasgow Media Access Centre.

Although initially declined funding by BBC Films and Channel 4, the project received some pilot project support from the UK Film Council, and the filmmakers managed to secure a budget of £85,000 through a grant from pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline.
Catherine received the The UK Film Council script award at The Women in Film and TV 2008 Awards and also jointly with Judy Craymer and Phyllida Lloyd, The ITV achievement of the year award.
