James Pennington, also known as Suburban Knight, is an artist and DJ and producer with Underground Resistance (UR), an independent record label based in Detroit, United States.
Legowelt began producing music when in the early 1990s after he came in contact with the sounds of Detroit's Underground Resistance, Model 500, Blake Baxter (probably his all-time favourite producer) and Chicago heroes such as Farley Jackmaster Funk, Armando Gallop and Mr. Fingers.
They are also active in the underground resistance movement to Earth Alliance President Morgan Clark, who has abolished the Earth Alliance Constitution and assumed dictatorial powers.
