Due to the reshuffling of teams and the compromise between the United Soccer Leagues and the breakaway North American Soccer League, there are only 6 teams in USL-2 and 9 eligible teams in the newly formed USSF Division 2 Professional League (Montreal Impact, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Puerto Rico Islanders are not eligible because they are Canadian or Puerto Rican clubs).
Caleb Clarke (born June 23, 1993) is a Canadian soccer player who currently plays for FC Augsburg II in the Regionalliga Bayern on loan from Vancouver Whitecaps FC in Major League Soccer.
Three alumni from Erie Admirals S.C. have graduated to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of USL Pro: Jeremy Deighton, Greg Blum, and Neil Shaffer, Dan Howell played professionally in Iceland, Billy Colton plays professionally in New Zealand and Adam Clement plays for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC of Major League Soccer.
Jay DeMerit played for UIC's men's soccer team and currently plays for and captains the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in Major League Soccer, and was a former captain of Watford whom he played for in the English Premier League and the Coca Cola Championship.
The group was created in 1999 by soccer fans from Vancouver and its greater metropolitan area to support the former Vancouver Whitecaps FC of the D2 Pro League.
