Warren W. Tichenor (born in Harlingen, Texas in 1960) served as the nation's 17th United States Ambassador to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, serving under President George W. Bush, having been sworn in on 12 June 2006 after being confirmed by a unanimous vote of the United States Senate on 26 May 2006.

George C. Tichenor (1838–1902), Member of the Board of General Appraisers
During his time as a student at Washburn, he was captain of the 1929 and 1930 Washburn football teams under coach Ernest Bearg.
He was the son of New Jersey Attorney General David T. Wilentz, who prosecuted Bruno Hauptmann in the Lindbergh kidnapping trial, and the brother of New Jersey Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert Wilentz.
Epp was succeeded by Warren W. Wiersbe, former pastor of Moody Church in Chicago, Illinois, who served as leader of the Lincoln-based ministry between 1981–1989.
